Dame On The Scene

I'm sure by now you've heard about the BlakRoc Project that Dame Dash released on November 27th this year. Its a fusion of Rock (The Black Keys) and Hip Hop (11 artists including Mos Def, Jim Jones, RZA, Nicole Wray, and more). Well he's doing a lot more these days and by 2010 I think we'll be seeing a lot more of him and what he's doing. His Brand, Creative Control, is "A cutting edge online content label based upon the fundamental idea of maintaining creative control over all content and production from programming to advertising. Providing a new alternative to television with its online viewing platform and engaging content to unite our demographic through our communication and coverage of cutting edge fashion, music, and art."

On the Creative Control website you can see a lot of what he's doing. He's also working with up coming artist and Brands like GFC, Curren$y, Stally and more. He was recently in a XXL magazine article where they briefly mention what he's up to and to expect more in 2010. XXL: "We’ve seen Dame with Jim Jones, helping to promote Capo’s Pray IV Reign; still, most folks didn’t expect the cocky executive to be back on top. But now, with a host of projects—including his new Blak Roc, Creative Control, 24 Hour Karate School, DD172 production compound—one has to wonder: is Dame on to something?"

I'll say whatever he's doing it's looking and sounding good to me so far. I hope he keeps doing what he's doing because I want to see more of it.
For now enjoy this Short film from Creative Control...

"The 0Hundred Timepiece"

Check out this awesome watch the I came across. The piece was designed by Knot Design LLC.

In their own words, "The 0Hundred Timepiece harmonizes modern uniqueness with the appeal of vintage military masculinity. This design is inspired by the strong relation of shape in tandem with function. The polycarbonate lens further embraces this idea by 3 dimensionally framing the inner components."

Ladies in Pink

I am writing this blog to shout out some Ladies that are really doing some positive things. These are the ladies of Avenue Pink. They are doing a lot to give back to the community and reach out to various artists and entrepreneurs like themselves to basically empower the youth. Here is an interview they did with Fonzworth Bentley that I feel is worth listening to. These Ladies have come a long way and worked hard to get where they are. I wish them much luck in the future and hope they continue to do good things.

Shout out to Lande of Avenue Pink!!!
